This piece was one of the 2 that was accepted in this year’s Cellar Roots art magazine, a publication by Eastern Michigan University’s news paper, the Eastern Echo. It is a color study I did on my iPad, I wanted to experiment with shading and transparency and I really like how it turned out! I’m proud it got chosen for the magazine and the gallery showcase.
This was the other piece accepted into the magazine. It’s a, mostly, digital collage. The egg on the lower right is a pysanka I did, it has sun symbols – thus the name of the piece. I printed the image and scanned it with a string overtop to give dimension, texture, and framing.
This is a commissioned piece I did this year. It is a Kosovo flag colors and inspired design.
